With over 20 years of experience, Gabriele Nicolet is dedicated to supporting families and children with speech, language challenges, and special needs (Orchid Kids). She combines expertise with a relationship-based approach to foster real connections with each family.

What Gabriele Does:

• Hosts the Complicated Kids Podcast, where she shares insights on child development and communication.

• Works locally in the Washington DC metro area and remotely with families across the U.S.

• Helps hundreds of families improve their children’s communication skills, restoring joy to parenting.

• Trains teachers and parents on speech and language development, emotional and sensory processing, and parenting strategies.

• Frequently consults on cases involving bilingual children, using her proficiency in French, Spanish, and expertise in bilingualism.

Gabriele also works extensively in area preschools, providing observations and evaluations, and has published articles on bilingualism and child development. She holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is the former Chair of the DC Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Gabriele is licensed in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and is a member of the American Hearing and Speech Association (ASHA). She resides in Washington, DC, with her family.
