Check out Brain Talk workshop to learn how to do Brain Talk with your kiddo. I’ll give you scripts, tips and strategies for how to introduce Brain Talk and how to watch for signs that your kiddo is ready to use it on their own.

What is Brain Talk?

Think of Brain Talk as a way of talking to kids about how their brains and bodies work together. Instead of just focusing on "good" or "bad" actions, Brain Talk helps kids see their actions as things they can improve, with the help of their amazing brains. For example, instead of saying, “I can’t speak,” a child might say, “I’m teaching my brain and mouth to work together so I can speak better.” Isn’t that powerful?

Why it Matters

When kids learn to separate who they are from what they do, they develop a healthier self-image and more control over their actions. This is especially helpful for kids who feel frustrated with things like speaking, listening, flexibility or impulsivity. Brain Talk reminds them that they can learn and grow, with the support of their brains.
